Today I see beauty

… in an early morning sunrise that I was unexpectedly awake to watch, and the clouds that followed close on its heals.

… in my daughter’s cascading hair, all golden silk.

… in the lilt of children running out ahead on a late morning walk, all energy and joy and blossoming friendships.

… in the smiling face of a new friend, new but growing close and deep and refreshing.

… in the balmy green of the duck pond, with ducks swimming frantically toward us eager to find food.

… in picked up bedroom floors waiting to be vacuumed.

… in photos on our wall narrating the story of our family life through the years – a vision of God’s overwhelming provision, sustaining and renewing.
